The Welcome Wine Tasting
The celebrations began the evening before the wedding with a relaxed wine tasting overlooking the villa’s vast vineyards. As the sun set over the Chianti hills, guests eagerly gathered to enjoy Villa Il Pozzo’s signature Chianti DOCG, Chianti Classico, and a smooth white wine. They also sampled the villa’s own olive oil, Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva Italiano Monticello.
With golden light dancing over the vines, it marked the perfect start to the weekend. Moreover, the event felt intimate, authentic, and beautifully unhurried.
The Wedding Day
The following afternoon, as the heat softened into early evening, Gillian and Ross exchanged vows on the terrace. Behind them stretched 30 kilometres of rolling vineyards, with San Gimignano appearing in the distance.
The floral palette of terracotta and white blended perfectly with the Tuscan landscape. Additionally, it mirrored the honeyed tones of the sunset. After the ceremony, the newlyweds arrived at the reception in a vintage Fiat 500. Guests waved napkins in joyful celebration, symbolising unity and pure Italian exuberance.
Live music by Omero and Friends guided guests from aperitivo to dinner. Later, a surprise opera performance by tenor Tomasso added a touch of grandeur beneath the stars. Finally, the evening reached its crescendo with a stunning cake cutting illuminated by cold fireworks, providing a dazzling finale to a perfect day.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, Gillian and Ross slipped away into the vineyards for golden hour portraits. The romantic, cinematic light framed every embrace. Indeed, it reflected their joy and the effortless beauty that defines a Tuscany destination wedding.
